Employers to Set Up at Hiring Heroes Fair, April 17

A majestic Heroes Career Fair is going to take place at Riley’s Conference Center on April 17 between 10 A.M and 2 P.M. It is expected that nearly 65 employers are participating in this fair. The employers include defense, federal and private sector employers. This event is conducted periodically, and last year 600 people participated in this fair. Soldier Family Assistant center is working to offer resume building and dressing skill improvement classes.

In Ohio again, President Obama talks job training, impacts of Ryan Budget

President Barack Obama will speak about the benefits of federal funding for job training at Lorain County Community College in Columbus on Wednesday. While there, the President also intends to spend time at the College’s One-Stop Career Center, which receives funding through the federal Workforce Investment Act. Obama is also expected to touch on cuts to similar programs that could occur if the budget resolution proposed by Wisconsin Congressman Paul Ryan is signed into law.
